$400 Billion Towards Home Based Care

President Biden has turned his attention to the issues faced by people receiving in-home care, expressing a strong belief that they deserve to have access to better systems and more advanced care options. To this end, the Biden Administration has announced an intention to redirect $400 billion towards home-based care, urging Congress to take action on the initiative. Biden also seems to have plans to streamline and improve the Money Follows the Person (MFP) program, expanding on the benefits it brings to the table even further.

It’s too early to say if the proposal will be received positively by Congress and how soon we might expect to see movement on it. Biden seems determined in his goals and some seem to believe that this is just the tip of the iceberg regarding what the public can expect from him.

This is not the first time the President has touched on the issue, as he is known for his critical stance towards the average compensation received by care workers. More to come as we learn more.
